Jack Garratt /// Remnants /// Goldfish Remix

Goldfish, a Denmark based producer has released a remix of Jack Garratt’s Remnants – the title track from his latest EP. Goldfish’s version is gritty and industrial which juxtaposes Garratt’s smooth vocals. We’re not saying that’s a bad thing, in fact it’s pretty great. Whilst adding fluctuating beats, Goldfish still manages to keep the space from the original track. Goldfish co-wrote Garratt’s hit Worry, and if this is a step in the direction that Garratt may take, it’s pretty exciting. Check it out below:

French Kiwi Juice new EP "Take Off" released

The dredlocked Parisian follows up his last success with another dose of sublime beats. Prior to its release he tantalised us with "Waiting." This track featured the lovely Madely Grant on vocals who really adds a diva edge to this beat! "Waiting" is so smooth it spreads like melted butter - it's classic FKJ but taken up a gear!

Bombay Bicycle Club - Feel

Bombay Bicycle Club come wheeling back with the new video for “Feel,” lifted from their latest album “So Long, See You Tomorrow.” The album was inspired by Jack Steadman’s travels around India and it seems the video follows suit. The video was directed by Bollywood music video Director Sumit Dutt and features some belly dancing lovelys. The lyrics fit perfectly with this vibrant, colourful scene and once again Bombay Bicycle Club think outside the box and bring something new to Hipsters’ doorsteps….. maybe now they’ll be trading in the fixie bikes for Rickshaws??

Black Light White Light - High Like A Hurricane

I was checking out some new music and came across this kaleidoscopic Scandinavian trio.  Black Light White Light are three guys from Denmark who show you the light through the storm with their new single ‘High Like A Hurricane’.  They’ve got this dynamic indie rock vibe to them.  Check out ‘High Like A Hurricane’ here and let me know if you agree.

Gentle Friendly ‘KAUA’I O’O A’A’ Album Review

Gentle Friendly are clearly experimentalists when creating their music. It seems to be made up of a live drum kit, some synths and vocals. The band unique and harmless sounding, with enough interesting sound design and song-writing to keep you tuned in from start to finish. The tracks, although each having its own flare, are fairly similar in that you can listen the whole album and it will flow perfectly into your ears. ‘Wild Grass’ is a great representation of the whole album. Ticking all the boxes in what makes this band great. Check out ‘Wild Grass’ below, I can only see good things for Gentle Friendly this summer.
